Now you may be asking, why am I being sent to OneTrust’s knowledgebase? Didn’t I purchase this through Convercent? Don’t worry, you haven’t lost your marbles. Third-Party Risk Management has been around for a while, but traditionally this product has been sold as Vendor Risk Management and lived with your counterparts in Security and Privacy. As companies have started using third parties at an accelerated rate to help them carry out everyday tasks and keep costs low, this has opened a new profile of risk that can have a massive impact on the entire company and brand. In fact, 80% of FCPA fines are related to third-party violations.
Currently the two products (OneTrust’s Vendor Risk Management and Convercent’s Third-Party Risk Management) have the same functionality for all buyers, as many teams are looking to consolidate their processes and tool sets across the different business units. Over time we will be considering specific needs for ethics and compliance third-party risk and consider those for development. But until then, we felt that the educational and training content already provided by OneTrust was best in class and would be a helpful asset to you and your team.
Please visit the Vendor Risk Management section to access articles and videos to help you get started and continue to manage third-party risk:
